When the topic pops out about celebrating New Year, there is no better place than Bangkok. It is undoubtedly one of the best cities for New Year’s Eve celebration.
There are many options, like firework display at central world and Asiatique parallel to Chao Phraya River is a popular spot for countdown. Those who prefer to make it loud and unforgettable they can drink drank drunk it away at Sukhumvit 11, Narz, RCA and Khaosarn Road. You can also make it memorable by celebrating at a rooftop with perfect dinner and wine, capturing the best view around from the top.
Central world holds the biggest New Year celebration in Bangkok. Thousands of people congregate to Central world to usher in the New Year. Find a good spot, if possible little closer to stage and enjoy the fireworks. The crowd starts to get in early from evening to enjoy all the entertainment before clock ticking to next year.

Asiatique is one of the main attractions lately; the riverside is best options when it comes to having fun with your group of friends and loved ones before taking in the splendid view of the firework display on New Year’s Eve along the Chao Phraya River. Asiatique festival countdown 2014 will have the theme of “Light up the colors of Life”.
The performance will start from 5 pm until late with mix of Thai famous artist and entertainment shows. The countdown will also be broadcasted on television, so expect a fabulous firework when it touches twelve. Restaurants will be holding their own theme as well so it’s worth booking in advance to make sure you get the table.
Sofitel So have set up perfectly to make the night special for you. They will be setting two set dinners at New Year’s Eve; the first at The Water Club next to swimming pool. The five course poolside dinner will comprise of caviar en croute, Alaska King crab & tortellini, pan-seared foie gras, roasted beef tenderloin, and a “So 2014” vanilla and raspberry dome. In another option, diner can enjoy a six-course set dinner at Park Society.
After mouthwatering dinner, you can head up to one of the DJ parties at The Water club and Park Society Terrace. Guest can also move up to Hi-So, where there will be free flow of Chandon brut, Rose and selected cocktail and beer.

It’s one of my favorite spot where you can hang around with bunch of friends and also meet new people and end up celebrating it with them. Clubs worth hitting on this night will be Route 66, Luminous and Slim/Flix. The crowd here is young and fun-loving, a great end of the year party spot.
Narz is another best nightclub to be at for the countdown. It is a wide open area with two floor indoor setting. Also couple of DJs room and one live band room for New Year’s Eve. Entrance cost is around 800 baht per person with one free drink. Going in a gang of five will get you a bottle of whiskey or vodka to go with your New Year night.
Soi 11 is filled with many clubs that can make you New Year celebration an unforgettable one. All the clubs come with their concept and promotions. You can start your night with cheap Charlie drinks, selling shots and bucket at affordable price in mini vans. Clubs like XYZ, levels and climax build great atmosphere to hang around in.
