Fish Rescued from Abandoned Mall

Workers collect fish inside an abandoned department store in Bangkok

Thousands of fish have been rescued by BMA (Bangkok Metropolitan Administration) from a mall which has been abandoned from the last 10 years.

This huge aquarium consists a number of catfish, red & black tilapia. BMA has ignored to clean this huge aquarium from the many years. However, BMA has taken steps to move out the fish to the wild. People living around the area have complained about the increase in the number of mosquitoes because of the contaminated water. Labors from the fisheries department and BMA vacated the fishes from the complex. More than 3000 fishes were caught by nets and will be freed to the wild.
