4 Bangkok Streets Where Taxi Drivers Refuse Passengers

4 streets of Bangkok where taxi drivers reject passengers the most are:

  1. Sukhumvit
  2. Sathorn
  3. Silom
  4. Phaya Thai

These streets have the most number of taxi rejections reported by The Department of Land Transport’s mobile phone application. It is also learned from the application that the most number of rejections occur between 5 pm to 10 pm reported Bangkok Post. 

Tourist police arrested 34 taxi drivers on the first day of the launch of the App in places like Nana, Phaya Thai road. Thai Tourist police wants to make sure that the tourists are not affected while they travel to Bangkok. The authorities do not the taxi drivers to impact the tourism of Thailand. (SourceThai Visa)

The Thai Authorities have fined the taxi drivers and for some the license has been suspended for repeated mistakes reported Bangkok Post.

The App has been downloaded more than 30,000 times and most of the complaints made by people is about rejections. The department is making sure to have fine the taxi drivers in order to decrease the number of complaints.
