This year’s Wonderfruit festival on from 17 to 20 December 2015 promises another fantastic celebration of music, food and the arts that takes place in the picturesque Chonburi countryside just outside of Bangkok, the venue being The Fields at Siam Country Club.
At this the second edition of Wonderfruit after last year’s inaugural event, festival-goers of all ages will find plenty on offer throughout these four fun-filled and engaging days.
Speaking with BangkokExpatLife.com, Wonderfruit Founder/Director Montonn Jira said: “We’re really excited to be creating a world class event, bringing collaborators together from all around the world and giving Thailand a chance to be recognized for mindful and forward thinking creativity on a global scale.”
Wonderfruit is built around the six equally important core values or ‘pillars’ of Arts, Music, Farm To Feasts, Health & Wellness, Talks & Workshops and Natural Adventures.
The impressive music line-up features 59 international and local acts ranging from classic hip hop and alternative R’n’B to electro, techno and world-rhythms. Cycling and jogging tracks, a natural lake for refreshing dips and microlight plane flights will offer the chance to appreciate the festival’s natural surroundings. There’ll be relaxing health treatments and massages, invigorating dance sessions and drum circles. And heaps of fun for kids, with activities like kite-making, free running and circus skills, storytelling and puppet shows.
This year sees a new series of seminars by innovative thinkers from around the world, along with workshops on various topics from hammock weaving and upcycled fashion to yoga and swing dancing. Also new will be the Wonder Post, a daily festival newspaper all about the festival and festival-goers.
Food and drink at the festival will range from tasty street-food favourites to designer burgers, steaks and vegetarian vegan fare to the master chef-prepared Wonder Feasts using produce from the onsite farm.
Wonderfruit is offering deals and discounts on accommodation in Pattaya for festival-goers, while there’s also the option of pitching a tent and camping onsite at the festival – either in the general camping area or the Boutique Camping area with pre-built tents, dedicated entrance and car parking.
