  • Sanguan Sri

If you are not looking for high-end restaurants, but instead want to go to an old fashioned, down-to-earth, well established Thai restaurant then Sanguan Sri would be a fine choice. The owner opened the restaurant in 1970 but passed away several years ago, just shy of reaching the grand old age of 100. Since then the staff have just continued running it. The décor is from the 1970s but the food is out of this world.

BTS Nana

  • Via Vai

For big generous portions of Italian food at very reasonable prices Via Vai is the place to indulge. Granted, the place doesn’t look like much from the outside or the inside, and the Italian food would not be able to compete with some other high-end Italian restaurants when it comes to quality. However, you can order pizza, bruschetta, pasta meals or even full meal sets without breaking the bank and the meals are good value for money.

  • Tacos & Salsa Mexican Bar and Restaurant In Bangkok

Tacos and Salsa, the colourful, lively restaurant that serves up some of Bangkok’s freshest and tastiest Mexican food has upgraded its location. It has moved to a place with a larger seating capacity and is now closer to Sukhumvit and Asok BTS station on Soi 18. With the move they have made a few improvements. The menu has been bulked up, adding some new items like the healthy chicken burrito and leaving the mouth watering favourites like the sizzling steak fajitas, the six different types of salsa that are made in-house, and of course the best guacamole in the city.

Of course, no Mexican meal would be complete without a margarita or smooth tequila beverage. They have six flavours of frozen (and quite strong) margaritas classic (lime). Honey lime, passion fruit, mango, strawberry, peach and black currant. They also have a great selection of tequilas, mezcal and their Margochela is a must try.

  • Shuffle

The interior decoration may not be the most beautiful within this restaurant, unless you love an interior décor that looks like an industrial building site. However, despite this and the strange seating arrangements, where everyone is placed close together, there is a diverse menu at Shuffle. You can try burgers, steaks, poached chicken and much more. So if you value variety and creativity on a menu more than a plush interior, then this is the place to aim for.
