HONG KONG (Feb. 24, 2016) – Just in time for the cherry blossom season, lastminute hotel booking app HotelQuickly is launching Japan as its 16th country.
HotelQuickly today announced its entry into the Japanese market with the acquisition of Japan’s domestic booking app, Tonight. HotelQuickly, which allows members to book special, mobileonly discounts on hotels within a oneweek timeframe, has more than two million downloads.
Executives at HotelQuickly said the addition of Japan to the app’s offerings will open more spontaneous travel opportunities for HotelQuickly members within the region.
“Japan is high on the list of countries our members would like to see this year, and we’re now perfectly positioned to help them do that,” said Tomas Laboutka, Cofounder and CEO of HotelQuickly. “With flights more affordable than ever, visas requirements lighter than ever, plus the unbeatable hotel deals you’ll find on HotelQuickly, there’s never been a better time to visit Japan.”
As of press time, HotelQuickly has opened offers at 400 hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. There are plans to add more than 25 destinations and 1,000 partner hotels in Japan by the end of this year. The app is being translated into Japanese, which will become HotelQuickly’s 10th supported language.
Since its founding in March 2013, HotelQuickly has expanded rapidly, securing its lead in the region by partnering with more than 12,000 hotels in 250 destinations. Room rates on the app are 20% lower on average than best prices found online.
HotelQuickly is free to download on Google Play and iTunes App Store, and supports a wide range of payment options including PayPal, Doku ATM transfers, and LINE Pay.
