The Biweekly Held Silom Market Shuts Down For Rainy Season

The open air street market in Silom held on alternate Sundays will be closed due to public safety reasons during the rainy season. The street vendors use electric poles to wire the stalls making it dangerous for people said the chief of Bangrak district.

The pedestrian market is held from 3 pm until 9 pm and runs from Saladaeng intersection all the way down to Naradhiwas road. The market was started end of 2015 due to the popularity of the area and it is estimated to receive thousands of pedestrians to the market since then.
