The BRT (Bus Rapid System) that connects Sathorn and Ratchapruek will increase the fare based on the travel zones starting next month.
Currently, the BRT has a flat charge of THB 5 for all stations (both zones), but starting next month as per Sukhumband Paribatra’s new policy will charge based on travel zones.
Earlier, a policy was instated to reduce the fare of BRT to encourage people to use. However, as per the new policy the Governor expects the revenue to reach up to 4.5 million (70% increase).
People travelling from Zone 1, Sathorn to Wat Dan and Zone 2, from Wat Dan to Ratchapreuk will be charge THB 5 each. For commuters travelling in two zones will be charged THB 10.
