Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn To Take Royal Succession After 15 Days Of Mourning


The Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha said the country should mourn for at least 15 days before the royal procession of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn could take place.

The coronation ceremony will take place after the cremation process of The Late King. Furthermore, the PM also confirmed the roadmap to continue democracy in Thailand. The election will be done as per the roadmap and no exceptions will be made. (The elections are supposed to be held in 2017). The constitution will be signed by the King as per the timeframe mentioned in the roadmap too.

General Prayuth has also appointed a new governor of Bangkok Pol. Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, 65 who is seen as a strong character and managed to remove the recent clearing of Siam, Nana and Silom roadside vendors.
