The Thai government and Google has joined hands to work on blocking at least 400 website and video URLs for inappropriate content about Thai monarchy.
Google has banned 100 website URLs in the last four days, the government calls it “a joint effort” between them and Google according to Bangkok Post.
Google has made the process of complaining for offensive posts or videos easier resulting in faster results. The regime plans to implement the same strategy for Facebook.
The government has a team that works 24 hours to monitor comments or block people who defame the monarch.
Some netizens showed anger on social media who defame the monarch while others criticize the government censorship.
