Thailand reports 7 small earthquakes in Si Sawat one of the big faults in Thailand ranging from magnitude 2 to 3.5.
Two quakes were reported on Wednesday afternoon of magnitude 2.1 and 2.9 and five quakes were reported on Thursday, the most powerful was a 3.6 magnitude at 10:29 am.
Locals could feel the tremors underneath the road. The director of Department of Mineral Resources Regional Office said “It is a good sign that the fault has released its power several times. Gradual releases are better than powerful ones hence it is a good sign”.
Si Sawat, is one of the big faults in Thailand running southward towards Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri and Uthai Thani.
