The World’s Longest Reigning King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand Dies at the age of 88


King Bhumibol Adulyadej dies at the age of 88 after reigning Thailand for 70 years.

The King was highly revered in Thailand and was considered as a stable character in a country where there has been multiple coups. As per Thai constitution the King has limited powers yet he has played an important role in maintaining the balance of power which would be hard for the government to achieve reports BBC.

Social media users changed their profile image to Pink color that says “We love the King” and “Long Live The King” to show their support and love.

The King’s health has been unstable in the last decade however, this Sunday it was reported again that the King’s health is unstable and was transferred to Siriraj hospital to be put under ventilation.

It is expected that the Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn will ascend to the throne however, no statements has been made official by the Royal family yet.
