Thailand ranks 54 in Programme for international school assessment


PISA (Programme for international school assessment) ranks Thai students 54 out of 70 countries in subjects like Mathematics, Science and Reading.

Athapol Anunthavorasakul, from the faculty of Chulalongkorn believes that the education ministry should rather spend money on leveling the differences between elite and rural schools.

The education ministry has spent millions in training teachers, kids or buying latest technology gadgets.

White, Thailand ranks 54th Singapore gains and ranks top among the 70 countries closely followed by Japan, Estonia and China (Taipei).
