Bike for Dad 2015 – Thailand Event

Bike for Dad is similar to the Bike for Mom cycling event where cyclists journeyed all over Thailand on bicycle in commemoration of the birthday of the Queen. This time around, it is Bike for Dad where all Thai indigenes all over the world will converge to celebrate the 88th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Bike for Dad event will begin at the Royal Plaza from December 11-13. This event will be fun and full of wonderful side attractions.

The ride for the Bike for Dad event in Bangkok will start from 3 pm on December 11, led by His Royal Majesty, Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

Apart from the bike event, there would also be a jazz concert, an outdoor cultural display of Khon-masked dances to be presented by the Ramayana epic as well as exhibition to honor the works of the King and also to encourage people to emulate his footsteps.

Bike for Dad is an event that will show the whole world that the entire Thailand natives are united under the same King, no matter where they live.
To add more fun to this great event, the word Dad had been written in three different colors by the Crown Prince to represent the logo for Bike for Dad event. The first letter D is in yellow bronze color, standing for the King, letter a in the middle is in blue color and stands for the queen, as the last letter d is also in yellow color representing the Crown Prince.

Bike for Dad Procession

Bike for Dad biking in Bangkok will witness four major processions as follows:

A Procession- The first procession tagged Procession A of cyclists will be led by Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn from the Royal Plaza on December 11. This particular procession will comprise of 500 senior government officials and members of the public.

B Procession – HRM Princess Bajrakitiyabha will the person to lead this group of 500 government officials.

C Procession – This comprises of another set of 500 government officials to be led by HRM Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana.

D Procession – This is especially designed for the 100,000 bikers who have already signed up at bikefordad2015.com website to participate in the big event which will take place from November 2-10.

S Procession – This special procession is for the 100 members of the medical service as well as the bike repair service team who are following the all the A-D processions above.

Bike for Dad 2015 Itinerary

Bike for Dad will start from Royal Plaza on Ratchaprarop Road and pass all the way through the intersection on Pratunam to Ratcharaprasong intersection, through Pathumwan Road to Silom Road and burst out ar Yaowarat Road, and from there to Wong Wian Yai Road to Arun Amaring Road, and will link the Sirai intersection and off to Sanam Luang before linking Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue and back to the Royal Plaza. Bike for Dad will cover almost 29 km long loop route.
